Maritime law
The maritime law department of Yosef Yeshuron & Co. is one of the oldest and most prominent departments in Israel. The department is headed by attorney Shahar Levinzon.
Our firm has experience in the legal representation of both Israeli and foreign clients, including ship owners, charterers and ship operators as well as shipyards, fuel suppliers and service providers and other supplies for ships, cargo forwarders and customs agents. The department has been operating since the establishment of the office, over 50 years ago, and is one of the most prominent in its field. Today, the department deals with the representation of leading shipping companies in Israel and the world and of companies dealing with maritime shipping, in all aspects of maritime law in all its shades.
As part of its practice, our office handled wide and varied issues related to maritime law, including: cargo damage, cargo transportation, demurrage, issues related to bills of lading, lease transactions and sale of ships and ongoing legal advice mainly related to the transportation of containers. All this, along with expertise in providing a solution to disputes and conflicts arising within the field of maritime law and maritime tort claims.
